Plants with thorns need less water compared to the non-thorny ones. The cacti plants are the best for your terrace if you are a frequent traveller and cannot water the plants daily. They look beautiful, grow very fast and require water once or twice a weak. However, if you have small kids around, planting a cactus is not a good idea.

Adding seasonal flower plants to your terrace garden gives instant colour to it. Plants like Roses, hibiscus, bougainvillea give flowers all-round the year. If you want to give your family pesticide free organic vegetables, you can have your very own kitchen garden. Vegetables like spinach, green chillies, lemon, mint, brinjal and tomatoes grown effortlessly. By including aromatic flower plants in your garden, you will indeed make it the most relaxing place in the house.
